1. What is Mono & Stereo Sound?
MONO: In mono, all audio signals are mixed together and routed through a single audio channel. A mono signal output through 2 or more speakers will still be mono, as the same contents of sound is being produced by each speaker. STEREO: Two or more separate channels are used to give a more natural distribution of sound called stereo. When you listen to these 2 channels on separate speakers, it recreates the experience of being present at the event.

2.What is surround sound?
When 3 or more audio channels are mixed so that sound comes from 3 or more directions, the reproduced sound is called surround sound. Of course, this also depends on the acoustic nature of the surroundings and where deflection of sound waves is made.

3.What is Woofer, Sub-woofer & Tweeters?
Woofers are the speakers used to boost low frequency (Bass) (100Hz) and subwoofers are special speakers used to boost lowest part of low frequency (30Hz). Vice Versa, Tweeters are the speakers used to boost high frequency (Treble) of the sound.

4.What is P.M.P.O.?
P.M.P.O. means Peak Music Power Output. This term is used while declaring the Audio Output of the TV set.

5.Why Flat CTV is better than conventional FFST CTV?
In FFST CTV, due to curvature of CPT (the picture tube), the picture formation scanning lines get bent and the display suffers from reflections, which deteriorate the picture quality. In Flat CTV the picture tube doesn’t have a curvature so picture is clearer in Flat CTV.

6. What is Digital Sensi Eye of Videocon?
A unique sensor built in CTV, which adjusts the picture settings of Colour, Brightness, Contrast and Sharpness according to the ambient light conditions to reduce the strain on eyes. Sensi eye key is given on remote control. Benefit: You can watch TV for as long as you wish without having to worry about harm to your eyes. Please note that when Sensi eye is on you cannot adjust ‘Picture’ menu parameter as sensor is taking care of the picture settings.

7. What is personal message service?
This feature of Videocon CTV enables its users to flash any message at the desired time on the screen. This message appears on the screen whenever you switch on the TV set. Message could be read, edited, erased as per the users’ choice. The time parameter appearing at the OSD indicates the time at which you wish to flash the message on the screen. This helps the user to convey important messages to people in their absence, like reminders, important work to be attended and conveying messages and wishes.

8. What is Selectable Sound?
This feature facilitates selection of the best possible settings from standard sound settings. Pressing the selectable sound key, user can change the audio response by choosing from custom-rock-pop-jazz-custom. ‘Rock’, ‘Pop’, ‘Jazz’ are the predefined microprocessor settings whereas ‘Custom’ is a user-defined setting. The viewer can choose the best sound according to his taste and enjoy music to the maximum, with minimum adjustments.

9. What is Favorite mode?
With the development of transmission systems, channels available for viewing have increased drastically. As a result of this, a lot of time is wasted if one wants to surf the desired channels from all the available channels. To counter this situation, Videocon has served the feature of Favorite Mode, which enables the user to create a favorite program list as per his own choice. The user can mark preferred channels as ‘favorite’ by using favorite key on the remote control, which results in only channels marked "Favorite" being available during surfing.

10. What is Picture in Picture (PIP) technology available in Videocon Models?
This feature enables you to view a picture in an already existing picture in the form of a window at the bottom right corner of the screen. This feature is useful in the situation where the viewer wants to view more than one programs. TVs with up to 9 PIPs are manufactured by Videocon. These windows appear in the form of inverted L shape at the lower right hand corner.

11. What is “SVMC” technology in Videocon?
SVMC stands for Scan Velocity Modulation Circuit. This is a new advanced feature that allows the Picture Tube to improve the quality by producing sharper images no matter how rich and multi-colored the images. This actually modulates, i.e. changes the frequency of scanning to improve the picture sharpness at edges of the TV set. Benefit: Enhanced sharpness of images and text; improved edge definition on images, ensuring uniform picture sharpness across the surface.

12. What is Automatic Volume Leveler (AVL) facility given in Videocon Models?
Often, during channel surfing, there is sudden increase in noise across channels. To do away with this, Videocon has come up with the feature called AVL. When this feature is active, it allows the user to surf the channels at uniform and comfortable level of sound. With the Automatic Volume Leveler, your TV automatically adjusts the volume so that you don’t get differing volumes across channels.

13. What is Jog Shuttle?
Jog Shuttle is a multifunction knob. The complete front panel of the TV set is replaced by one circular knob. It gives your TV a sleeker, more modern look, together with total ease of operation. All the front panel operations like Volume, Channel no., Picture etc. can be adjusted by the single Jog Shuttle knob.

14. What is mean by Lock Menu?
Lock feature is provided in TV to stop unauthorized use of TV set. The Lock key is provided on the remote control. Press this key for more than 4 sec. 3 different types of locks will be displayed on the screen called Child Lock, Panel lock and TV lock. Child Lock: This features facilitates the viewer to lock some objectionable and unwanted channels which he does not want to be seen by children. These channels once locked get automatically skipped in normal surfing and can only be viewed when their respective channel no. is pressed by the remote control. Panel Lock: This feature locks the front panel of the remote, thereby preventing any unauthorized person from changing your TV settings. TV Lock: This feature prevents unauthorized viewing of the set.

15. What is the use of Woofer?
Bass is low frequency sound, the element of musical instruments like drums, tabla etc. It gives sound a deeper, richer feel. Woofers are speaker drivers that are used to boost the low frequencies (Bass) in the sound.

16. What is the facility of CTV service if required?
