8. What are the various processes

The various
processes which take place in the Videocon Dish Washer are as

a) Cold
Pre-Wash
This primarily consists of jets of normal temperature water which are sprayed
over the vessels inorder to wet the surface and remove surface
soilage.
b) Hot
Pre-Wash
This process comprises of pressurised jets of Hot water sprayed on to the
vessels inorder to loosen soilage & stains.
c) Hot
Main Wash
In this process pressurised hot water is sprayed across the vessels along
with the detergent, which is released through the automatic detergent dispenser.
The combination of the detergent action and the hot water jets again serve
in complete removal of residual soilage & stains from the the vessel
surface.
d) Cold
Rinse
Depending upon the wash cycle selected, there are a number of cold water
rinse cycles employed. This primarily consists of jets of normal temperature
water sprayed on to the vessels inorder to remove the residual detergent
and soilage.
e) Hot
Rinse
The number of Hot Rinse Cycles employed also differ, depending upon the wash
cycle selected.
In this Hot Rinse process, jets of hot water are sprayed over the vessels along with a specially formulated Rinse Aid. Besides the removal of the remaining soilage and detergent residue, the Rinse Aid also causes a brilliant lustre / gloss on the washed vessels.
f) Hot
Drying
In this process evaporation of residual water takes place. This prevents
water stain marks on the surface of the machine.
g)
Flushing
This process involves the removal of the residual wash detergent & and
soluble residue from the machine.
9. Do Dish Washers require any special
detergents or will any normal Dish Washer detergent powder
suffice?
YES.! Specially
formulated detergents are required for washing vessels in any Dish Washing
Machine. These could be available in the form of powders, liquids, jels,
cakes or even balls.
The detergent sample which has been supplied with the Videocon Dish Washer has been specially formulated by Hindustan Lever Ltd, after doing a lot of research work on the cooking and eating habits of Indians across the country. This detergent is marketed by HLL under their brand name 'SUN" . This detergent will be available at all major HLL stockists. In fact, the local Videocon dealer at whom you have procured your Videocon Dish Washer will be able to give you the address of the nearest HLL stockist where Sun branded detergent will be available for purchase by you.
A specially formulated Rinse Aid is also required to be used in the Dish Washer. This Rinse aid is a fluid which is automatically sprayed inside the machine during the process of Hot Rinse. This Rinse Aid expedites the process of evaporation of water particles on all the vessels and helps in faster drying.. This also results in a sparkling finish and gloss on the vessels and dishes.
When you buy a Videocon Dish Washer, there is a sample bottle of 200 ml SUN brand Rinse Aid supplied along with it. This is required to be filled in the Rinse Aid Dispenser of the machine, at the time of installation.
The Rinse Aid detergent is required to be periodically topped up. You will realise that topping up of Rinse Aid is required, when the Eye Provided on the Dispenser turns white or if you do not observe any brightness on the Dishes & vessels after washing them in the Dish Washer.
This Sun brand Rinse Aid is also marketed by HLL and will be available at your nearest HLL stockist.
Water Softening Salt.Since the softness of water varies around the country, the Videocon Dish Washer has got a built in Water Softening unit, which enables you to freely use either Municipal water or borewell water for washing purposes in the machine.
Along with the Videocon Washing Machine, you have been supplied with a packet of Water softening salt. This salt is required to be filled in the Water Softener bowl inside the dishwasher, using about 200 ml of normal tap water until the lamp indicating Salt Refill goes off. This is to be done initially at the time of commissioning of the Dish Washer in your residence.
As and when the Water Softening salt needs to be topped up, then the " Salt Refill " sign on the panel gets lit up, indicating that you have to then refill the water softner salt in the bowl again. This Water softening salt is also marketed by HLL.& will be available at all major HLL stockists.
10. Does the Videocon Dish Washer
have separate wash processes for different types of
loads?
YES. ! Depending
upon the number of vessels required to be washed, type of vessels required
to be washed and soilage on the vessels to be washed, there is a choice of
wash programmes available.
There are six different wash programmes available in the Videocon Dish Washing Machine. There is also a facility of two additional programmes enabling a higher temperature wash, if so required for heavily soiled vessels and also for delicate table and kitchen- wares.

19. How safe is the Videocon Dish
Washer?
The Videocon Dish Washer is an extremely safe product. It is equipped with
a miniature circuit breaker ( MCB ) for ensuring electrical safety. It has
also been provided with a strong pump motor which is totally protected against
electrical over-loading. It is also provided with a fully safe heating element.
The tub of the machine is manufactured out of specific grade stainless steel with a mirror finish which ensures a hygienic environment. The baskets in the machine too are provided with a special grade of nylon coat. The machine is also provided with a Dry Tap indication beeper, which lets you know when there is a stoppage of water supply too.

?
The Dish Washer needs a 220V, 50 HZ, 15 Amp. power supply for operation.
This Wall socket is to be well earthed seperately. You should ensure that
the Wall socket should not be shared during usage with any other
appliance.
21. Do I need to have any special
plumbing for the Dish Washer ?
The Dish
Washing machine is provided with a "Quick Coupling Magic Joint" along with
a high pressure inlet hose assembled on the product. You are only required
to locate a suitable tap which can accommodate the tap adaptor
assembly.
Install the adaptor on the tap as per the instructions given in the operating manual of the machine.
The Inlet hose has to be clicked on to the tap adaptor in order to connect the machine to the water supply, prior to use. You have to also ensure that there is a proper drain arrangement, since the Dish Washer expels hot water at a high pressure.
22. Where should the Dish Washer
be placed?
The most
suitable place for the Dish Washer is the kitchen, since it is meant to wash
your dishes.
You are required to find a suitable location for the Dish Washer in the kitchen, where it can get a supply of running water and where a proper drain arrangement should also be present.
The machine also needs a separate well earthed wall socket with a 220V, 50 Hz, 15 Amp power supply.
23. Is the Videocon Dish Washer portable
?
Yes.! The
Videocon Dish Washer has been provided with two transport wheels on the rear
side of the machine , which you can use to move the machine wherever you
want. However, for getting a better life of your product, it is recommended
that the Dish Washer be permanently installed in a suitable location and
only be moved , if required for the purpose of cleaning the area in and around
and behind the Dish Washer.
24. Can the Videocon Dish Washer
wash my heavily soiled Kadais / Milk Sauce Pans / etc.
also?
Yes. The
Videocon Dish Washing machine is capable of washing your heavily soiled utensils
including frying pans, sauce pans and Kadhais.
The detergent provided with the machine can dislodge any soilage containing the carbohydrates, proteins and fats in their simple form. It is also capable of eliminating normal greasy and milk soiled pans.
However, if your kadai or sauce pan is very heavily soiled with burnt carbohydrates or fats, then scrapping of such soilage may be necessitated prior to the wash in the Dish washer.
It should be noted that in most cases, the Dish Washer is capable of removing any fresh soilage. However in cases, where the soilage is caused by repetitive cooking in the same utensil and where such soilage accumulates on the vessel sub-strate, in such cases, scrapping of the soilage and / or pre- wash in a detergent solution may be necessitated.
25. How do I use my Videocon Dish

Yes! . If
you have a loft tank or a Sintex tank, it is more than adequate to run the
Dish Washer, since the water requirement varies from 27 Ltr to 45 Ltr
only.
29. What will happen if the Water
supply in the tap suddenly stops, when the wash process is going
on.?
Don't worry
!. The Videocon Dish Washer is provided with a special Dry Tap Indication
Beeper. If the water supply in the tap suddenly stops, then the machine beeps,
indicating that water has to be added to your loft tank. The machine then
goes into sleep mode and will pause operation, until and when the water supply
resumes again.
30. Am I required to clean the vessels
before putting them into the DishWasher?
No. Only
if there is any large residue on your plates, you are required to remove
them ,prior to putting the plates into the Dish Washer.
If there is very hard settled soilage on the utensils, then you may have to scrub
them prior to loading into the machine. Before you do the scrubbing, you may even have to immerse the vessels in a detergent solution for sometime if the hard settled soilage shows no signs of reduction.
If there is any minor soilage or food particles on the vessels, these are automatically cleared by the Dish Washer. However, at the end of the wash cycle, you are required to check the filter present in the base of the Dish Washer inorder to see if there is any residue lying on it. It is recommended that you clean the filter regularly, so that food particles do not accrue for a long time.
31. Do I need to dry the vessels
or clean the machine after use?
No . The
Videocon Dish Washer also dries the vessels after wash.
The Autoclean Videocon Dish Washer also cleans itself and dries itself at the end of the wash programme. However, you are required to clean the filter of the Dish Washer periodically and remove out food particles which might have accumulated there.
32. Does the Videocon Dish Washer
make too much noise during operation ?
No. The
Videocon Dish Washer is almost noiseless in operation. You can even run the
machine at night and you will not even realise that the washing is taking
place.
The Automatic Shut Off feature of the Dish Washer will stop all operation once the cycle is complete.
33. What happens if the Power fails
when the Dish Washer is in use
?
The Videocon Dish Washer has got an Electro Mechanical Timer Operation which
enables it to remember the point of stoppage of power supply. Accordingly,
