The cover
of this issue of Samvad is a tribute to the rich cultural traditions of our
country which spring to vibrant life during the colourful festivals every
year. Videocon had an excellent presence with attractive festival gates and
colourful display material at retail outlets throughout the
country.
Videocon
has indeed set a new landmark in the country with the movie sponsorships
of popular Hollywood movies Dr. Dolittle, the rip-roaring comedy, The Edge
rated by critics as the best English movie of the year and The X-Files,
a movie based on popular mystery thriller serial. Videocon set a new trend
with sponsorship of the Hindi movie Dil Se the film that won laurels
in the film capitals of the world. Another unforgettable sponsorship was
of the Hindi blockbuster China Gate rated as the greatest film of
the century brought to you by Toshiba. A major event has been the
powerful November 1998 launch of our Corporate Image campaign which created
a paradigm shift in the corporate image of Videocon -the country's
largest Consumer Electronics & Home Appliances Company.
