Videocon Present the 1997
Videocon was the sponsor of the 1997 channel [V] Music Awards. The Premier music function was held on October 18, 1997 at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, New Delhi, before an invited audience of 18,000. The event attracted some of the greatest artistes from India, and across the globe. These awards signify a recognition of excellence, dedication and contribution by the cream of Indian and International artistes, thus signifying the best of another great year in Music.

Screen Videocon Awards
The screen Videocon Awards 1997 function was held at Andheri Sports Complex on January 17, 1998. The broadcast was on the Doordarshan National Network on January 18 and subsequently on the star TV Network on February 01.
